Safety Center
If you are in danger right now, please reach real help first, then send us your prayer request too. In immediate danger anywhere, call your local emergency number. In the United States, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline), free and at any hour; for Spanish, press 2 or text AYUDA to 988. Outside the United States, findahelpline.com lists verified free lines in over 175 countries.
This page is currently published in English only. If you need it explained in another language, write to us and we will help.
Praying Wall is a place of prayer. It is not an emergency service, and nothing here is medical, mental-health, legal or financial advice.
How we keep this a safe place to pray
- Every prayer request is read by a member of our team before it can appear on the public Prayer Wall.
- Comments from guests are read by our team before they appear. A comment that someone reports is hidden until our team has looked at it.
- Automatic screening stops links, contact details and requests for money, and alerts our team to words that suggest someone may be in danger. When that happens, the person is shown crisis lines straight away.
- Our staff do not read Prayer Circles. They see a single prayer only when a member reports it, or when the safety check suggests someone may be at risk.
- Every staff action is logged, with who did it and why.
Your tools
| Tool | What it does |
|---|---|
| Report | Asks our team to look at a prayer request, a comment or a circle post. The person is not told who reported it. |
| Step away | Stops you seeing someone's prayers in Prayer Circles, and stops them joining a circle you host through your invite link. They are not told. |
| Rest from their posts | Hides someone's prayers from you for 30 days. They are not told. |
| Leave | Leave any Prayer Circle at any time. |
| Remove your own comment | Take down a comment you wrote, unless it has been reported or hidden by our team. |
| Ask for a second look | If we removed something of yours or suspended your account, ask once, within 30 days; a different member of our team decides. |
Scams to watch for
Praying Wall will never ask you for money, passwords or personal details, and neither should anyone else here. Be wary of anyone who:
- asks for money, a gift card, crypto or a “seed” offering, for any reason, however urgent or holy it sounds;
- promises healing, a miracle or a breakthrough in return for something;
- wants to move the conversation to WhatsApp, Telegram, text or email;
- quickly becomes romantic, or asks for photos;
- claims to be staff, a pastor or “a prophet” with a word you must act on.
If you see this, report it and step away. You have done nothing wrong by doing so.
Believers in countries where faith is dangerous
Praying Wall follows a standing Persecution Protection Rule for people connecting from countries on the Open Doors World Watch List:
- Your public prayers are always anonymous.
- Your IP address is not stored with your request, comment, report or application.
- Your country is never shown to anyone, including on the world map, which only ever says “fewer than 10” or “10 or more” for these countries.
Please never share your full name, city, church or workplace here. Asking someone else for those details is a serious breach of our rules.
Young people (16 and 17)
- Members aged 16 and 17 are welcome to ask for prayer and to be prayed for.
- Anything they share publicly is anonymous, never with their name.
- Only prayer warriors and our team can comment on their requests.
- Prayer Circles are for adults aged 18 and over.
- People under 16 cannot create an account or send a request.
For parents and guardians
If your 16- or 17-year-old uses Praying Wall, they can ask for prayer, be prayed for and read the Daily Word. Their public requests are anonymous, and only vetted prayer warriors and our team can reply to them. You can write to us at PrayingWall2911@gmail.com to ask what your child has shared, or to have their account deleted. If you believe a young person is at risk, write to us at once, and contact the police or your local child-protection services.
What we do with serious reports
- Immediate danger (a threat to life, or suspected exploitation of a child) comes first. We remove the content, lock the account and preserve the evidence. We report apparent child sexual exploitation to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC), as United States law requires, and we contact law enforcement when a life may be at risk.
- Scams, signs of grooming, or anyone trying to identify or locate a person are hidden and reviewed as a priority.
- Harassment, hatred, sexual content or spiritual pressure are removed, with a warning or a suspension.
- Intimate images shared without consent are removed within 48 hours of a valid request, as our Terms of Service describe.
You can also report suspected child exploitation directly to NCMEC at report.cybertip.org or 1-800-843-5678.
