Terms of Service

Draft of 11 October 2026. Effective date to be set when approved.

Draft for review — not yet in effect. This page is a working draft. It has not yet been approved by the owners of Praying Wall or reviewed by a lawyer, and nobody is being asked to accept it. Items marked “to be added before publication” are still open.

The short version. Praying Wall is a place to ask for prayer and to pray for others. It is free to ask. Real people read what you send. It is not an emergency service and it is not medical, legal, financial or counselling advice. What you write stays yours; you let us show, translate and review it in the ways you choose. Follow the Community Guidelines. This summary is for convenience only; the full terms below are what apply. Section 21 contains an agreement to resolve disputes by individual arbitration and a class-action waiver for members in the United States. Please read it.

This page is currently published in English only. If you need it explained in another language, write to us and we will help. If a translation is ever published and differs from the English text, the English text is the one that applies, unless the law where you live says otherwise.

1. Who we are, and what these terms are

Praying Wall — known previously as 877-PRAYNOW and then as 844-9PRAYER — is a for-profit business that operates the website prayingwall.com (the “service”). Praying Wall is operated by PrayingWall.com LLC, a Florida limited liability company (registration pending; until it is complete, the service is operated by its founders), 1988 Fairview Shores Dr, Apt 13, Orlando, FL 32804. In these terms “Praying Wall”, “we” and “us” mean that business, and “you” means the person using the service.

These terms are a legal agreement between you and Praying Wall. They include our Community Guidelines, which are part of this agreement, and they sit alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains what we do with your information.

2. How you accept these terms

  • If you create an account, you accept these terms when you tick the box that says you agree to them and press the button to create your account.
  • If you already have an account when these terms are published, we will ask you to read and accept them from your account page.
  • If you send a prayer request, comment or other content without an account, you accept these terms when you send it.
  • If you do not agree, please do not create an account or send anything to the service.

3. Who may use Praying Wall

  • You must be at least 16. The service is not directed to children, and nobody under 16 may send a prayer request, create an account or post anything. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13; if we learn that we have, we delete it.
  • If you are 16 or 17, you confirm that a parent or guardian has read these terms and agrees to your using the service. Anything you share publicly is shown anonymously, never with your name. Prayer Circles are not open to you until you are 18.
  • You must be at least 18 to host or join a Prayer Circle or to serve as a prayer warrior.
  • The age group you give must be true. It cannot be changed later. We may close an account where we have reason to believe the age given is false.
  • You may not use the service if we have banned you, or if using it is against the law where you live or you are barred from receiving services under the laws of the United States.
  • Praying Wall is Christ-centred, and prayer here is offered in the name of Jesus Christ. Anyone, of any faith or none, may ask for prayer.

4. What Praying Wall is, and what it is not

Praying Wall lets you send a prayer request, read and pray for requests other people have chosen to share, comment with encouragement, keep a prayer list, and pray together in small private groups called Prayer Circles. Requests are read and prayed over by people.

Praying Wall is not an emergency service. We cannot respond in real time and we cannot send help to you. Do not rely on Praying Wall in an emergency. In the United States, call or text 988 for the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, free and at any hour; for Spanish, press 2 or text AYUDA to 988. Outside the United States, findahelpline.com lists verified helplines in over 175 countries. If anyone is in immediate danger, call your local emergency number.

Praying Wall does not give professional advice. Nothing on the service — including anything written by our staff, a prayer warrior or another member — is medical, mental-health, legal, financial or other professional advice, and prayer here is not a substitute for professional care. Never delay seeking professional help, or stop a medicine or treatment, because of something you read here.

No pastoral or confidential relationship is created. Sending a request does not make any member of our team your pastor, counsellor, therapist, doctor or lawyer. Messages to Praying Wall are not protected by clergy, counselling or legal privilege, and we may be required by law to disclose them. Please do not send us anything you would only say under such a privilege.

We make no promise about prayer. We do not promise any outcome from prayer, that a request will be prayed for by any number of people, or that it will be prayed for within any particular time. Prayer counts on the service are a good-faith tally and may not be exact.

5. Your account

  • You do not need an account to ask for prayer.
  • If you create one, give accurate information, keep your password to yourself, and tell us promptly if you think someone else has used your account. You are responsible for what is done through your account until you tell us.
  • One person, one account. Do not create an account for someone else, pretend to be someone you are not, or open a new account after we have suspended or banned you.
  • You can ask us to delete your account at any time from your account page. We finish within 90 days, and you can change your mind until then.

6. What you write, and the permission you give us

Your prayer requests, comments, testimonies, circle posts and anything else you send (“your content”) remain yours. By sending content you give Praying Wall a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive permission to store it, reproduce it, display it in the way you chose, translate it so that people praying in other languages can read it, adapt its format for display, and review and moderate it — in each case only to run, protect and improve the service. We may use other companies that work for us (such as our hosting, database and translation providers) to do these things. This permission ends when your content is deleted from our systems under our Privacy Policy, except for copies we must keep for safety or legal reasons as that policy describes.

We do not sell your content, and we do not use your prayer requests to advertise to you.

You choose who sees each prayer request: kept private, shared anonymously, or shared with your first name. Private is the default. Nothing appears on the public wall without your choice and a review by our team. You can ask us to remove a request at any time. Once something has been public, we cannot control copies other people may already have made.

You promise that:

  • your content is yours to send, and sending it does not break the law or anyone else's rights;
  • where your content is about another person — a relative you are asking prayer for, for example — you share no more about them than is needed, and nothing that identifies them without their permission;
  • your content follows the Community Guidelines.

If you send us ideas or suggestions about the service, we may use them freely and without payment.

7. Rules of use

You agree to follow the Community Guidelines. You also agree not to:

  • use the service to break any law, or to harm, exploit or endanger anyone, especially anyone under 18;
  • ask anyone on the service for money, gifts or personal details, or try to move a conversation off Praying Wall;
  • copy, collect or “scrape” content or information about people from the service, by hand or by automated means, or use any of it to train or test software or artificial-intelligence systems;
  • use bots, scripts or other automated means to post, to create accounts, or to inflate prayer, Amen or reader counts;
  • try to break into the service, get around its safety or age measures, interfere with how it works, or probe it for weaknesses without our written permission;
  • try to identify or locate a person who is shown anonymously;
  • copy, screenshot or repost another person's request, comment or circle post anywhere else without their permission;
  • use the service for advertising, fundraising or any commercial purpose without our written permission.

8. Moderation, and how we make decisions

We want you to know how content is handled here.

  • Review by people. Every prayer request is reviewed by a member of our team before it can appear on the public wall. Testimonies are reviewed in the same way.
  • Automated screening. Software checks what is posted for things such as links, contact details, requests for money, threats, words suggesting someone may be in danger, and attempts to obtain personal details. Depending on what is found, a post may be published, held for a person to read first, or refused. Translations are produced by machine.
  • Reports. Anyone can report a public request or comment, and members can report a circle post. A post that receives several reports may be hidden until a person has reviewed it.
  • What we may do. We may hold, hide, edit out of view, or remove content; limit what an account can do; suspend an account; or ban a person, where we believe these terms or the Community Guidelines have been broken, the law requires it, or someone may be at risk. We decide these matters in good faith, and we try to act consistently and in proportion to the problem.
  • We will tell you. When we hide or remove something you wrote as a member, or suspend your account, we tell you what happened and which guideline it was under, unless the law or someone's safety prevents us.
  • A second look. You may ask once, within 30 days, for a second look, and you may add a note. A different member of staff from the one who made the decision reviews it. If the decision is reversed, your words are put back as they were, or the suspension is lifted.

We are not able to review everything on the service and we do not promise to. We are not responsible for what other people post, and a decision to leave something up or take it down is not an endorsement or a guarantee.

9. Safety, illegal content, and working with the authorities

  • We remove content we find to be illegal, and we report apparent child sexual exploitation to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children as United States law requires.
  • Where we believe there is a risk to someone's life or safety, or the law requires it, we may share information with emergency services or the authorities, as our Privacy Policy describes. We are not able to do this in every case, and you must not rely on us to do so.
  • Reporting illegal content. Anyone, whether or not they use the service, may report content they believe is illegal by using the Report button or by writing to PrayingWall2911@gmail.com with the address of the page, what the content is, and why they believe it is illegal. We confirm that we have received the notice, review it, and tell the person who sent it what we decided.
  • Intimate images. Praying Wall does not allow intimate or sexual images of anyone. If an intimate image of you — real or computer-generated — has been posted on the service without your consent, write to PrayingWall2911@gmail.com with the subject “Intimate image removal”. Include your name, a way to reach you, where the image is on the service, a statement that it was shared without your consent, and your signature (a typed name is enough). You may ask someone to do this for you. We remove such an image, and make reasonable efforts to remove identical copies, within 48 hours of receiving a valid request.

10. Copyright

Please post only words that are your own. Short quotations from Scripture are welcome; check the terms of the translation you quote from. If you believe something on the service copies your work without permission, send a notice to our copyright agent with: (1) your signature, physical or electronic; (2) the work you say was copied; (3) where the material is on the service; (4) your address, telephone number and email; (5) a statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised by the owner, its agent or the law; and (6) a statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorised to act for the owner.

Copyright agent: Jonathan Shannon, PrayingWall.com LLC, 1988 Fairview Shores Dr, Apt 13, Orlando, FL 32804; telephone 1-844-977-2937 (844-9PRAYER); PrayingWall2911@gmail.com.

If we remove something of yours because of such a notice, we tell you, and you may send a counter-notice as United States law allows. We close the accounts of people who repeatedly infringe copyright.

11. Prayer Circles

  • Prayer Circles are small private groups for members aged 18 or over, joined by invitation. What is shared in a circle is meant to stay in the circle.
  • A free member may host one circle of up to 8 people, the host included. Joining circles is free.
  • The host may invite and remove members, remove prayers, and close the circle. A host is a member, not our employee or agent.
  • Our staff do not read circles. They see a post only when a member reports it or our safety screening finds words suggesting someone may be in danger, as the Privacy Policy describes.
  • We cannot guarantee that other members will keep what you share to themselves. Share with that in mind.

12. Prayer warriors

Prayer warriors apply, are reviewed by a person, affirm the creed we ask of them, confirm they are 18 or older, and promise to keep every prayer request confidential. Prayer warriors are volunteers. They are not employees, agents or representatives of Praying Wall, they are not counsellors or clergy acting for us, and what they write is their own. We do not carry out background checks unless we say so. We may end a warrior's service at any time.

13. Meeting and dealing with other people

You are responsible for your own dealings with other people on the service. We do not verify who members are. Do not send money to anyone you meet here, do not share where you live, and do not arrange to meet. Praying Wall is not a party to anything that happens between members, and to the extent the law allows you release us from claims arising from other people's conduct.

14. Membership, payments and gifts

  • Sending prayer requests and praying for others is free and will stay free.
  • A Premium membership ($1 a week, or $52 for a year paid in advance) is planned and is not yet on sale. It will add Creator tools for running your own prayer community and events. It will never buy faster prayer or a place at the front of the queue.
  • We are not taking payments at present. Before we do, the price, how and when it renews, and how to cancel will be shown clearly before you pay, cancelling will be as easy as signing up, and these terms will be updated first.
  • Praying Wall is a for-profit business, not a registered charity. Payments and gifts to us are not tax-deductible. A gift or membership gives you no ownership, share or stake in the business, and nothing on the service is an offer to sell securities.

15. Our content, and content from others

The Praying Wall name, logo, design, text, images and software belong to Praying Wall or to those who have given us permission to use them, and are protected by law. We give you a personal, non-transferable permission to use the service for its intended purpose, which ends if these terms end. The Daily Word is shared with permission from its authors and remains theirs. You may share links to Praying Wall pages freely; please do not copy or reuse the rest without asking us first.

The service may link to, or show information from, other websites and organisations, including crisis lines. We do not control them and are not responsible for them.

16. Messages from us

By using the service you agree that we may send you notices about your account and these terms electronically — on the service or by email — and that electronic notices meet any legal requirement that a notice be in writing.

17. Ending things

You may stop using Praying Wall at any time and may ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or close an account, or refuse service to anyone, where these terms or the Community Guidelines are broken, where the law requires it, or where that is needed to keep people safe. We may also change, pause or close any part of the service. Sections 6 (as to content already shared), 9, 10, 13 and 15 to 24 continue to apply after your use ends.

18. What we cannot promise

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, Praying Wall makes no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not promise that the service will always be available, secure or free of errors; that translations will be accurate; that moderation or safety screening will catch every problem; that other people are who they say they are; or that anything posted by another person is true.

19. Limits on our liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Praying Wall and its owners, officers, staff, volunteers and suppliers are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive loss, or for loss of data, goodwill or profits, arising from or connected with the service or these terms, however caused and even if we were told it was possible. Our total liability for all claims connected with the service or these terms is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose and (b) one hundred US dollars (US$100).

These limits apply to every kind of claim, including contract, negligence and other wrongs. They are part of the basis on which we are able to offer the service free of charge.

What these limits do not do. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow us to limit — for example, liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for intentional wrongdoing — and nothing takes away rights you have as a consumer under the law of the place where you live. Some places do not allow some of these exclusions, so some of them may not apply to you.

20. If your actions cause a claim against us

To the extent the law allows, if someone brings a claim against Praying Wall because of content you posted, your breach of these terms, or your breaking the law or another person's rights, you agree to cover our reasonable losses and costs, including legal fees, arising from that claim. This section does not apply to you if you are a consumer living in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or anywhere else where the law does not allow it.

21. Disputes: please read this section carefully

Talk to us first. If you have a complaint, write to PrayingWall2911@gmail.com with your name, how to reach you, what happened and what you would like us to do. We will do the same if we have a complaint about you. Each of us agrees to try in good faith to settle the matter for 60 days after that message before starting any formal claim.

If you live in the United States, the rest of this section applies to you.

  • Arbitration. You and Praying Wall agree that any dispute or claim arising from or connected with the service or these terms that is not settled as described above will be decided by binding individual arbitration and not in court, except as set out below. The Federal Arbitration Act governs this agreement to arbitrate.
  • How it works. The arbitration will be run by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, by one neutral arbitrator. It may take place by telephone, by video or on written submissions, or in person in the county where you live. Fees are shared as the AAA's consumer rules provide, and we will not seek our legal fees from you unless the arbitrator finds your claim frivolous. The arbitrator may award you individually any remedy a court could.
  • Exceptions. Either of us may bring an individual claim in small-claims court instead, and either of us may go to court for an order to stop misuse of the service or infringement of intellectual property.
  • No class actions. You and Praying Wall each agree to bring claims only on an individual basis, and not as a plaintiff or class member in any class, collective or representative proceeding. The arbitrator may not combine more than one person's claims. You and Praying Wall each give up the right to a jury trial. If a court decides that this paragraph cannot be enforced for a particular claim, that claim alone goes to court and the rest stays in arbitration.
  • Your right to opt out. You may opt out of arbitration by writing to PrayingWall2911@gmail.com within 30 days of first accepting these terms, with your name, the email address of your account if you have one, and a clear statement that you opt out. Opting out does not affect any other part of these terms.
  • Changes to this section. If we change this section, the change does not apply to a dispute we already knew about, and you may reject the change by writing to us within 30 days of being told of it.

If you live outside the United States, the arbitration agreement and class-action waiver above do not apply to you. You may bring a claim in the courts of the place where you live, and nothing in these terms takes away mandatory protections the law there gives you.

22. Which law applies, and where

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to its rules on conflicts of law, and without affecting consumer protections you are entitled to in the place where you live. For any claim that may be brought in court under section 21 by a person living in the United States, you and Praying Wall agree to the state and federal courts for Volusia County, Florida.

23. Notices for particular places

  • California. Under California Civil Code section 1789.3, California users are told: the service is provided by PrayingWall.com LLC, 1988 Fairview Shores Dr, Apt 13, Orlando, FL 32804; the service is currently free of charge; and complaints may be sent to us at PrayingWall2911@gmail.com or to the Complaint Assistance Unit of the Division of Consumer Services of the California Department of Consumer Affairs, 1625 North Market Blvd., Suite N 112, Sacramento, CA 95834, telephone (800) 952-5210. If you are a California resident you also give up California Civil Code section 1542, which says: “A general release does not extend to claims that the creditor or releasing party does not know or suspect to exist in his or her favor at the time of executing the release and that, if known by him or her, would have materially affected his or her settlement with the debtor or released party.”
  • European Union. Our single point of contact for members, for national authorities, for the European Commission and for the European Board for Digital Services is PrayingWall2911@gmail.com. You may write to us in English.
  • United Kingdom. You may complain to us about illegal content, about content that may harm children, or about a moderation decision, by using the Report button or by writing to PrayingWall2911@gmail.com.

24. General

  • Changes. We may change these terms. If a change materially affects you, we will say so on this page and, if you have an account, tell you at least 30 days before it takes effect, unless the law or safety requires us to act sooner, and ask you to accept the new version. If you do not agree, you may close your account.
  • The whole agreement. These terms, the Community Guidelines and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and Praying Wall about the service.
  • If part of these terms fails. If a court finds part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies.
  • No waiver. If we do not enforce a term on one occasion, we may still enforce it later.
  • Transfer. You may not transfer your rights under these terms. We may transfer ours to a company that takes over the service, provided your rights are not reduced.
  • Events outside our control. We are not responsible for failures caused by things we cannot reasonably control.
  • No third-party rights. These terms give rights only to you and to Praying Wall.
